OVER THE YEARS…
Thierry’s love and passion for the catering business started at the age of 6. When his parents invited some guests for dinner, Thierry had to take every single piece of his parents wedding set out of the cupboard in order to dress the table. He then also had to move half of the house around to ensure everything was in style and was perfect! At this young age Thierry also enjoyed nothing more than creating a real mess into the kitchen trying to cook anything he could.
At the age of 13, Thierry needed to make a choice for his future education. He decided to enrol into a cookery course in a catering school in his native town of Tours in the Loire Valley. For 2 years Thierry studied as a chef and obtained diplomas and national awards and recognitions. In those days Thierry worked as a chef during his summer holidays at the “Casino Restaurant of the Sables D’Olonnes” and at “The Richelieu Restaurant at La Flotte En Ré”. He then enrolled into a superior catering school, again in Tours, to learn the ins and outs of running a catering business.
After completing his qualification, Thierry moved to England, to the small Cambridgeshire village, Grantchester. There he worked and finally runned a Pub with a French Restaurant called the “Rupert Brooke”. After nearly two years Thierry moved back to France to work as a chef in a 4 star private Chateau Hotel: Chateau de Rochecotte in Langeais in the Loire Valley. http://en.chateau-de-rochecotte.fr/ He spent 2 years at the Chateau before making a move to join the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line as a Captain waiter. Thierry travelled all over the world for one year through the Caribbean islands to Alaska.
Thierry then decided to return to France and took his position back at the Chateau de Rochecotte as Assistant General Manager, where he spent a further 8 years.

A few years later Thierry decided to move to in the old market town of Stamford and took a position as Service Manager at the George Hotel of Stamford where he stayed for 3 years.
Thierry then joined another local company as an events organiser for 3 years.
It was then, that Thierry decided it was the right time to put his wealth of knowledge and expertise into developing his own company. With sheer hard work and dedication Thierry grew his outside catering and parties organisation business into the success it is today. Thierry flourished even further with the freedom to express more fully all his international experience and knowledge in worldwide flavours and techniques in order to bring a different and professional experience to his own clients.
His passion brought Thierry to open in early 2011 the Stamford Cookery School, www.stamfordcookeryschool.co.uk and in November 2011 to launch hios own line of products Simply Thierry at Home, www.simplythierryathome.co.uk .
IN 2008, Thierry involvement with the community and life of Stamford made him the be awarded Business personality by the Mercury and in 2011 and 2012 Thierry has been awarded as Best Lincolnshire Caterer.
In 2012, Thierry has been requested to represente the worlwide company “Le Creuset” in doing demonstration and offering recipes.
